18th Hole
And so we step onto the 18th hole, at 407 yards from the Medal Tee this can be a bit of a brute when playing into the wind, or if the wind is hard off the left the out of bounds down the right is well in play. The O.O.B right has been tightened over the past few years and I feel it makes for a far better, tougher closing hole. At the end of the day, you have literally hundreds of yards of room to the left with not only the 18th fairway to aim for but also the 1st! In fact there a few members I regularly witness playing the opposite fairways down each hole and depending on pin positions it can be a good line in! Yet again the bunkering down the 18th is excellent with a bunker to collect a left tee shot then a bunker around 50 yards short of the green to catch out an errant 2nd shot and to finish things off 4 greenside bunkers! The key to this hole is getting a good drive away, as mentioned there is plenty of room so open up the shoulders and get one down there. For the 2nd shot try to use the contours, the green in particular runs from left to right so try to use that to your advantage.
